Here at soupscription we strive to get you healthier and better lunch options. Our soups and bread are made with salt supplemented with iodine.
Recently in our endeavor to constantly upgrade our soups, we’ve come across the fact that the Netherlands, like many of our european neighbors, is a iodium poor country. That means iodine is not naturally as prevalent as in other parts of the world and the dutch population tends to consume too less of it in general.
To fight this our table salt is supplemented with iodine. Iodine supplemented salt is used in preparation of all breads and we’re told often to eat fish at least once a week. Sadly not all bakeries use iodine supplemented salt, even if they say so.
So to help you get your daily 150 micrograms of iodine, we promise that we only use iodine supplemented salt or sea salt (naturally high in iodine) in the production of our soups and breads. Get your daily salt with a daily soupscription 😉
